I have been going through old stuff too (including journals that kept a solid record of my life from about 8th grade on.....now THAT is some quality entertainment). When I think back to things I thought I would do, but didn't--like study abroad, live in a city, travel the world--and compare them with the things I DID do--marry the man of my dreams, buy a house CLOSE to the city, start a blog--it can be hard to not regret the things that didn't happen, but I just try and remind myself of everything I do have that I didn't see coming at all. I don't know, perspective I guess! Anyway, hope you have fun at your reunion!!The Funky Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01847844936098333071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8762626668776711100.post-76612580685734134992013-06-14T11:54:57.814-05:002013-06-14T11:54:57.814-05:00Thanks for ones marvelous posting! My 15 year old self would've laughed if you told her where I'd be at 28. But when I close my eyes I can't help but smile. This is where I want to be. I lost myself for a few years, but finally feel I'm regaining me again. Chickens, vegetable garden and all. Hope your trips help you feel a little more centered!Laura Junehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01122978911573096194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8762626668776711100.post-91734518541658010832013-06-13T19:24:37.136-05:002013-06-13T19:24:37.136-05:00I LOVE LOVE LOVE this whole post...the honesty, th...I LOVE LOVE LOVE this whole post...the honesty, the photo, everything. Today Avery asked me what I wanted to be after I was done being a mom. I told her that I was always going to be a mom. She kind of laughed and said "NOOO...What do you want to be when I'm an ADULT?" Sometimes I forget that there are phases of life, that there is still time for the trips to Europe or the classes that I didn't finish in college. I bet the high school you in that picture would be proud of you, and I bet she'd be proud of you in the years to come. : )Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04967036443580250272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8762626668776711100.post-17514321317369002192013-06-13T17:13:38.122-05:002013-06-13T17:13:38.122-05:00That is the greatest picture ever. That's one ...That is the greatest picture ever. That's one of those pictures that Lorelei will look at and realize that at one point her mom was young, and even more importantly, at one point her mom was actually cool! Not that it is a surprise to me, but I think kids are always shocked when they find their parents had entire lives before they came along. Have fun, but not too much ;) at your reunion.robayrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10888891487660838256noreply@blogger.com
