memory lane time (subtitle: my husband was an awfully cute little kid)

My mother-in-law is visiting, and she brought us a pretty great gift: almost 500 photos from Jason's childhood, all scanned onto disc! We had the best time looking at them last night -- here are a few of my favorites:

Getting a bath in Tupperware? I haven't been missing the newborn days at all, but this photo makes me a little bit nostalgic...

Just two of the many pictures where Lorelei is so obviously her father's daughter -- both because they look alike and because they already have so many of the same facial expressions!

Jason and his sister -- this totally cracks me up because it looks so much like an engagement photo, doesn't it?

Jason, already looking professorial at age 17. When we went to a reunion of his a few years back and people asked what he did for a living, everyone said "Yep, could have predicted that..."

And not so very long ago, though it feels like ages -- the day Jason got his Ph.D. Man, we look awfully relieved, don't we?

  3. That really is an awesome gift! You can definitely see Lorelei in his face, and the "engagement photo" is priceless. Enjoy the visit with your mother in law!
