wedding fever.

I've never been one to have baby fever like many women seem to even after (or more so after?) having babies of their own, but every year at the start of wedding season I get awfully nostalgic for all the hustle and bustle of planning my own wedding 7 years ago (right at the dawn of digital photos, so mine were all taken on film -- someday I'll scan them and share!). I'm feeling particularly that way this year because my baby brother is tying the knot!

Aren't they cute? He and his lovely bride-to-be will be getting married this summer after dating for 9 years and our own little soon-to-be-toddler will be scooting down the aisle as their flower girl.

I loved my wedding and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. BUT...if I were getting married this summer, here's what I might do: a garden-party brunch wedding!

  3. I loved our wedding, but looking back, there are so many things I would have differently. (Namely, cutting down the guest list by about half and having it where we really wanted it!) I love the stationary you posted!

  4. I'm with you! There are soooooo many things I would do in hindsight. I loved my wedding, and the outcome (married to my hubby) was the most important...but if I COULD do it over....

Let's just say...it's a darn good thing Anthropoligie's BHLDN wasn't out yet because I would have blown 75% of my budget on one of their dresses;)

  5. Also, since my brother is a wedding photographer and an amazing one at that..I spend waaaay too much time surfing his wedding site drooling over the whole shebang. If you'd like to further indulge your wedding lust: www.benwilliamsweddings.com

  6. Aww congrats to your brother! I totally feel the same way now that wedding season is rolling around and it's not me in the spotlight for wedding planning. Self-centered as it sounds, I'm now the one creeping on other peoples Pintrest boards and Facebooks reading up on their plans and kind of sort of missing the excitement that my life was last year at this time!

  7. A garden party brunch wedding sounds like early summer perfection! If I was ever to do it again (which I'm definitely not planning on... wouldn't want to freak out my husband) that's the way I would go :)
And you brother and his bride are too cute, I'm loving his bow tie!

  8. I adore the idea of a garden party brunch wedding. I recently read about a couple who had their wedding in their back yard, not their parents or family's backyard, but their own. How precious is that?! And affordable. :)

  9. I have to stop myself from looking at wedding stuff on Pinterest because it makes me envious :) I loved my wedding, but I could get married 50 times and have it look different every time!
