It's been a doozy of a week, folks. Thanks for your kind words about my grandmother; we're all still reeling from that, and from my grandfather's heartbroken slide into hospice care as a result. Plus, the weather. Is it April yet, please?
And another bummer: I can't find my camera cord (hmmm - did I possibly throw things into random boxes and forget to label what was where? That doesn't sound at all like me), so all the pics I've taken have been stuck on my camera. I have a temporary work-around, though, so here's a quick preview of where we've been spending a lot of our time on these cold, cold days:
So, to cheer us all up, some links to love for this cold February 1st:
I am incredibly behind on all kinds of shows but don't expect anyone to keep their mouths shut. How about you?
Speaking of TV, a Downton Abbey episode you might not have seen yet - unless you're in the toddler set.
Love the idea of making these once L is a bit older (originally pinned by Ann - thanks!)
I'm totally out of the loop on great new music, but I'm excited about a tip I just got on this band.
As if your reading list wasn't long enough...
It's not January anymore, but I still want to do this.
A Super Bowl recipe I might make even though I'm not planning to watch the game (I'll substitute for the bacon).
And some bloggy friend love: have you seen this squishy new baby yet? found Laura June's blog? read Lynn's series on being halfway done with overseas deployment? seen what happens when books attack a well-read blogger?
Happy weekend, all!
The play room turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about April. In the meantime, I'm popping all the Vitamin D I can. Hopefully things start to look up for you. '
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet playroom. I can't wait to hear more about all of the little details.
I misplaced both my camera cord and my charger during our last move. So frustrating! That bright and sunny space looks amazing, though! Lorelei must be so happy there! Wishing you a slow and peaceful week this week, or whatever sort of week you need, really. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. She was very beautiful...that picture of her was lovely.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a better week this week, and may spring come quickly to you and your sweet family!
The room looks lovely! That January cure got me really motivated at the perfect time as we go into selling the house soon. And thanks for introducing some new blogs :)
ReplyDeleteBrian Laidlaw is wonderful - and happens to be the boyfriend of Emily's college roommate (and my fellow Snoopy coworker), Ashley! you may recognize her from pictures of Emily's wedding - the very petite one at the end :)
